iOSAndroidReact Native

Mobile apps that people actually use.

iOS · Android · React Native · Dubai & GCC

Most mobile apps in the UAE are built to be launched, not to be used. They miss Arabic localisation, perform poorly on mid-range Android devices, and get abandoned after six months of stagnant installs. We build differently — starting from your users' real behaviour, and engineering for long-term retention, not just an App Store listing.

One client moved from 1.8 to 4.6 App Store rating after we rebuilt their core user flow. Another cut user drop-off by 61% in the first month post-launch.

(✦)The real problem

Why most UAE mobile apps quietly fail

The UAE mobile market is technically demanding. Users expect sub-2-second load times, flawless Arabic support, local payment options, and app behaviour calibrated to how people in this region actually interact with their phones. Generic cross-market app templates don't deliver that.

01

Poor Arabic UX

RTL isn't a checkbox. Most apps flip the layout but forget about date formats, number display, keyboard behaviour, and Arabic-specific UX patterns.

02

Missing local payments

No Tabby, no Tamara, no Apple Pay NFC support. UAE users abandon checkout when their preferred payment method isn't available.

03

Slow on real devices

Performance benchmarked on flagship devices in foreign markets. Deployed to mid-range Android phones on UAE networks. The gap is always worse than expected.

04

No retention strategy

The app launches. Downloads spike. Then installs flatline, daily active users collapse, and the App Store rating drifts toward 2.8 stars.

()What we build

Every layer of a production-grade mobile app

Cross-platform (iOS + Android)

One React Native codebase delivers native-quality performance on both platforms — no maintaining two separate codebases, no feature parity lag.

Arabic-first RTL design

Not an afterthought. We design the Arabic interface before the English one and work backwards — ensuring native speakers never feel like they're using a translated product.

UAE payment stack

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby, Tamara, and major UAE bank integrations. Localised checkout flows that match what UAE shoppers expect.

Push notifications

Segmented notification infrastructure with timing logic based on UAE usage peaks. Deep link routing to take users exactly where you need them.

Offline-first architecture

Critical data cached locally, sync logic managed intelligently. The app keeps working on Dubai Metro, in covered parking, or on a slow connection.

App Store Optimisation

Arabic and English keyword research, screenshot design, description copywriting, and rating strategy to maximise organic installs from Day 1.

Analytics & session tracking

User flow funnels, screen engagement, crash reports, and retention curves — giving you the data to improve continuously after launch.

Admin dashboard

A web-based admin panel for managing app content, user accounts, push campaigns, and analytics — without involving a developer for routine updates.

(02) How we approach it

We begin with a product discovery phase: who the user is, what job they're hiring the app to do, and where your current flow loses them. Every decision — from navigation structure to notification timing — is grounded in UAE user behaviour patterns. We don't carry over assumptions from markets with different usage habits.

(✦)Why NxFold

Built for the UAE market, not adapted to it

Most mobile agencies build a generic app and localise it. We build for the UAE from the first wireframe — because the region has specific technical demands, payment preferences, and user behaviour patterns that can't be bolted on at the end.

  • Real Arabic UX

Native Arabic speakers review every screen. RTL layout, Hijri calendar support where relevant, Arabic numeral options, and culturally appropriate visual hierarchy.

  • UAE payment expertise

We've integrated Tabby, Tamara, Apple Pay, and UAE bank gateways before. No discovery cost while we figure it out — we already know the edge cases.

  • Performance on real UAE hardware

We test on the device distribution that matches the UAE market — including mid-range Android phones — not just flagship devices in a Simulator.

  • One team, end to end

Product definition, UX design, development, backend API, App Store submission, and post-launch support — the same people, no handoffs between agencies.

  • Fixed scope, fixed price

We agree on the feature set before writing a line of code, and we price it as a fixed deliverable — not an open-ended hourly engagement that expands without warning.

(✦) Where we deliver Mobile App Development

(06) — FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before we start.

  • Do you build iOS and Android apps separately?

No. We use React Native to build a single codebase that runs natively on both iOS and Android. This reduces cost, ensures feature parity, and means updates are deployed to both platforms simultaneously. For very specific cases where a fully native codebase is required, we can scope that separately — but for most UAE businesses, React Native delivers everything needed.

  • Will I need a backend/server for the app?

Most apps do. We design and build the backend API alongside the mobile app — they're scoped together. This includes database design, authentication, push notification infrastructure, and any third-party integrations. You own the backend code and can host it on any major cloud provider.

  • Can you rebuild or improve our existing app?

Yes. We start with an audit of your current app — reviewing code quality, performance profiling, user analytics (if available), and App Store reviews. We identify what's working and what isn't, and propose the most efficient path to improvement: targeted rebuild of specific flows, full rewrite, or in some cases, extending the existing codebase.

  • How much does mobile app development cost?

A focused mobile app (login, core feature set, payment, push notifications) typically starts from AED 20,000–45,000. Feature-rich apps with custom backend, multiple user roles, and complex integrations range from AED 50,000 to AED 100,000+. We provide fixed-price proposals after a scoping session — not open-ended hourly billing.

  • How long does mobile app development take?

A well-scoped MVP typically takes 8–14 weeks from design to App Store submission. More complex apps with custom backend infrastructure, integrations, and multiple user roles run 16–28 weeks. App Store review by Apple adds 1–3 days; Google Play typically 24 hours. We plan timelines with these submission windows accounted for.

  • Can the app support Arabic and English?

Yes, and it's one of our specific strengths. We build full RTL Arabic interfaces that are designed as a primary experience, not a flipped version of the English layout. Arabic number formats, date display, keyboard behaviour, and text rendering are all handled correctly. Both language versions go through review by native Arabic speakers.

  • Which UAE payment methods can you integrate?

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby (buy now pay later), Tamara, Network International, Telr, and Stripe for international cards. We've integrated all of these before and know the specific technical requirements and edge cases for each. We recommend the combination that best fits your customer base.

  • What is App Store Optimisation (ASO)?

ASO is the process of optimising your App Store and Google Play listing to rank for the searches your target users make. This includes keyword research (separately for Arabic and English searches in the UAE), screenshot design, description writing, and category selection. A well-optimised listing can reduce your cost per install significantly compared to paid acquisition alone.

  • Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?

Yes, completely. We prepare all submission materials (screenshots, metadata, privacy policy, age rating, content descriptions), submit the build, manage the review process, and respond to any rejection feedback. For first-time submissions, we also help set up your developer accounts if you don't already have them.

  • What happens after the app launches?

We provide 60 days of post-launch support as standard — covering bug fixes, performance monitoring, and minor adjustments based on real user feedback. After that, we offer ongoing retainer arrangements for feature development, OS update compatibility, and continuous improvement based on analytics.

  • Can the app work offline?

Yes, when the feature set warrants it. We implement offline-first architecture for apps where connectivity is unreliable — local data caching, conflict-resolution logic for syncing when connection returns, and graceful degradation of features that require internet. Important for the UAE context where users are frequently in covered parking, elevators, or on metro.

  • How do you handle push notifications?

We implement segmented push notification infrastructure using services like Firebase Cloud Messaging. This allows you to send targeted notifications by user segment, geographic area, behaviour trigger, or time of day. Deep linking from notifications takes users directly to the relevant in-app screen rather than the home screen.

  • Can the app integrate with our existing business systems?

Yes. We connect mobile apps to your existing CRM, ERP, inventory management, booking system, or any platform with an API. During scoping we document all integration requirements and confirm feasibility before the project starts — no surprises mid-build.

  • Do you test the app on real UAE devices?

Yes. Testing on a simulator or high-end flagship device is insufficient for the UAE market. We test on the actual device distribution that matches UAE market share — including mid-range Android devices — on local network conditions. Performance benchmarks on a Samsung Galaxy A-series on UAE 4G is very different from an iPhone 15 Pro on Wi-Fi.

  • What makes a mobile app successful in the UAE market specifically?

Arabic-first design (not just RTL text flip), local payment methods (especially Tabby and Apple Pay), performance on mid-range Android devices (which dominate the UAE market by volume), WhatsApp integration as a communication channel, and App Store Optimisation for UAE-specific Arabic search terms. Miss any of these and you're at a structural disadvantage regardless of how good your core product idea is.
